Hurley Colts Section held their end of season awards evening at Shepherds Lane on Friday 31st August, with 70 plus parents and players in attendance. This event rounded off a successful season during which both the U11 and U13 sides finished runners-up in their respective BYCL divisions. The U9s also showed they have a competitive future ahead of them and we welcomed many new faces to the club for training from the age of 5 upwards. 55 colts were registered for the season, a testament to the enjoyable atmosphere created by all the coaches.
Medals were given to all mini and U9 players, and the roll of honour for U11 and U13 was as follows :
U11 Batsman of the Year – Oliver Dawkins
U11 Bowler of the Year – Charlie Peplow
U11 Player of the Year – Blake Dyson
U11 Most Improved Player – Theo Patrick
U13 Batsman of the Year – Chris Dawkins
U13 Bowler of the Year – David Morgans
U13 Most Improved Player – Raff Bowler
Colt of the Year – Will Krag
The prestigious Colt of the Year trophy was awarded to Will Krag for his outstanding all-round contribution this season. Will was the top run scorer with 182 runs and has enjoyed success with the ball of late as a member of the adults Saturday 2nd XI.
